Everyone Says Their Way is the Right Way

If you have a question then it's your unique question arising out of your own unique set of experiences. How can anyone else answer it? Even if one answers it it will not fully satisfy you because it's not 'your' answer.

Everyone Says Their Way is the Right Way

I am unhappy with even my friend in this regard.

He also said something like this, "follow the Eightfold Path and you will be liberated."

It doesn't make sense to me. How can there be a way? And even if there is, how could it possibly apply to me?

Everyone is unique.

Some find peace in dancing, music, writing, adventure sports, psychedelics, lovemaking, storytelling, teaching, learning, social-serving, and some in verb-ing.

But everyone who gained immense value in their fields start singing songs of praise of their fields as the only ones that will transform lives.

I have nothing against them, just like I have nothing against Buddha.

That's why I love J. Krishnamurti in this regard.

He says nobody can teach you nothing about yourself. No teacher, no Guru can help you.

But he also says, "Be a light unto yourself," which Buddha had also said, but again doesn't make much sense to me.

How can a "diya" or a lamp be a light unto itself?
How can an "eye" see itself?

Impossible!

But, JK says this all the time, "Find out for yourself!"

I love him for this 😄

Some find peace in dancing, some find bliss in making music, some in writing, some in adventure sports, some in psychedelics, some in lovemaking, some in storytelling, some in teaching, some in learning, some in social-serving, some in verb-ing.

Fire for my ego

Actually, this is fire for my ego too. My ego is very happy in not seeking anyone's help or assistance. It says, "I don't need anyone for my existence or salvation."

That's why it was not letting me get married or have a kid.

But, there is a very fine line one has to tread. It is a very delicate balance.

Like you are walking on a thread with a mug filled with water to the brim, on your head, and two lamps burning brightly with oil, in both your hands.

Ego disguises itself every second and sometimes it feels like you cannot outwit it!

Way forward

I really don't know. All I know is that I will remain open even to the seemingly dumbest idea or advice.

I will not filter on the basis of the source of the advice or the 'rave reviews'. Let me listen and inquire and find out for myself.

My theory is if 'I' have a question in me then the answer will also be 'in' me. The source of both are the same.

If you have a question, then it's your unique question arising out of your own unique set of experiences. How can anyone else answer it? Even if one answers it, it will not fully satisfy you because it's not 'your' answer.

So, I will find out for myself 'The Way'. But yes, people can, and do, help me in finding out my own way.

Thank you 🤗
