Why be Grateful Just Because It is Transient?

But we always need a mortifying reminder to feel grateful for everything and everyone, WHY? Why not be grateful and in awe despite the fact that we are mortals?

Why be Grateful Just Because It is Transient?

We take things and people for granted.

The job that I used to hate before is the reason why I am able to sleep peacefully. If this job were to go away tomorrow, which could very well happen, will I still hate it or regret losing my job?

Or if this job wasn’t there to support me when I was down in the dumps, wonder how awful life could have been then? (Any other corporate employer would have kicked me out long ago, but this job tolerated me!).

Why not still be grateful even if we were to live forever?

Also, the people that I take for granted like my mother, father, brother, and partner and friends and colleagues, who mean so much to me. What if they were to vanish tomorrow all of a sudden?

Will I not regret not loving them unconditionally? Or being kind to them?

But we always need a mortifying reminder to feel grateful for everything and everyone, WHY?

Why not be grateful and in awe despite the fact that we are mortals?

Why not still be grateful even if we were to live forever?

Those trees, flowers, butterflies, sunsets, and people are and will still remain lovely, no?
